4th Annual Trombone day announced

On Sunday 4th February 2007 Northern Ireland are hosting the 4th Annual Trombone Day. Once again it will be held in Bann House in Portadown and the Seagoe Hotel in the evening.

Everyone is welcome and the organisers are hoping for the same level of support as in previous years and from the timetable of events below you can see it is set to be a great day and will feature some superb artists.

11:00 – 11: 45 Warm-up & Massed Blow with Bob Hughes featuring;
Pastime With Good Company, Scarborough Fair, Thunderbirds, Locus Est (Bruckner)

11:45 – 12:15 Recording Music for Solo CD’s – Brett Baker

12:15 – 12:45 Chris Holding: Unaccompanied trombone repertoire

12:45 – 1:15 Open Rehearsal, 8-part Trombone choir featuring; Trolley Song + one more piece to be decided

1:15 – 2:30 Lunch

2:30 – 3:15 Massed Blow with Bob Hughes

3: 15 – 3:45 Music as a Career with Chris Holding & Christopher Day

3:45 – 4:00 Break

4:00 – 5:00 Concert: Brett Baker & Chris Holding with the 1st Old Boys Band + 8-Piece group & Massed Choir featuring; Earth’s Fury, The Hailstorm (Brett Baker), Fantastic Polka (Chris Holding), Scarborough Fair (Brett Baker & Chris Holding)

7:30pm Seagoe Hotel – Evening Jazz Session with Gordon Campbell & Bruce Adams
