The 92nd Championship of Ireland Bands’ Contest was held on Saturday 31st October 2009 in the Market Place Theatre, Armagh. The contest this year was adjudicated by Mr Peter Bassano who is the professional conductor of the City of Cambridge Band.

The set piece for the Second Section Brass was “Resurgam” by Eric Ball. The band achieved a well deserved 2nd place with a well balanced and controlled performance.

We also send our congratulations to Drogheda Brass on their win.
