On Saturday 21st November 2009, the Third Carrickfergus Band, in association with the Carrickfergus Branch of Action Cancer held their 2nd Annual Patrons Concert featuring special guests Sleehagh Greer – Mezzo Soprano and her accompanist, Phyllis Boyd along with the duelling fingers of pianists Noel Williamson & Ruth Dodridge. The event, held in Downshire School, Carrickfergus was hosted by Brian Johnston.
An excellent evening of music and entertainment was had by all at this extremely well attended show and resulted in the band being able to donate £500.00 to the excellent fundraising by Diane Strain and her colleagues from Action Cancer who, on the night raised a further £212.00 from the ballot making a grand total of £712.00.
