Band Win “Brass In Concert” 2012 – Story and Full Results

The band is celebrating the start of the 2012 contesting year with a win at the annual Brass Band League NI entertainments competition which was held in the Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown on Saturday 25th February and sponsored by G R White & Son. In this contest each band is able to choose its own selection of music. A full house watched and listened to the band’s winning performance.

Well done to our bass trombone soloist, Robert Frost on his superb performance and to the cornet ensemble for their excellent playing in Bugler’s Holiday.

Congratulations also to the 1st Old Boys Silver Band, CWA Brass, Letterbreen Silver Band and Kilskeery Silver Band who won in their respective sections.

The band will be competing again in March 2012.
