On Friday 9th April 2010 members of The Cory Band will spend 3 days in Northern Ireland on an Educational visit, organised by David Leonard from Dungannon Silver Band.

The Ensemble will consist of the following players;

Conductor: Steve Sykes
Cornets: Tom Hutchinson, Christopher Turner, Seamus Gallagher, Richard Davies
Horn: Ailsa Russell
Euphonium: Matthew Jenkins
Trombones: Christopher Thomas, Gareth Robinson, Andrew Williams
Eb Tuba: Simon Howell
Percussion: Alun Horgan

Over the weekend the Cory members will be working with a youth band featuring players from Dungannon Silver, Wellington Silver and Third Carrickfergus junior bands. This will culminate in a concert on Saturday evening at 19.30 featuring The Youth Band, Third Carrickfergus Band and The Cory Band Ensemble. The concert will be held in the War Memorial Hall, Carrickfergus. This is a free concert, so please show your support for the hard work by the team from the Cory Band.

In addition to all of this the ensemble will also be working with Wellington Silver and Third Carrickfergus senior bands as they prepare for the forthcoming BBL contest in Strabane’s Alley Theatre on Saturday 24th April 2010.
