Saturday 16th September at 10.30am will see the return of the junior band from its summer recess.
This year the band is creating a new section due to the high intake of young people and will take the form of a training band.
This new training band will be for beginners who are at the first level of their banding career and will enable more time to be spent teaching the fundamentals of brass playing and theory while allowing for the advancement of the junior band which, up to now, has incorporated all ability levels.
These changes represent a significant step forward and will enable competent handling of the high volume of members.
The junior and training band will both be held on Saturday mornings from 10.30am until 12 noon in the War Memorial Hall on Lancasterian Street, Carrickfergus (beside the fire station).
All newcomers are welcome so if you would like to start a banding career or are looking to further your existing one then come along and join us.
More details can be found in the Junior Band section of this website.
