It has been another great Summer School in Armagh again this year featuring an excellent turnout of players making the most of the opportunity to work with some of the world’s very best brass players and tutors from the famous multi award winning Foden’s Band and their magnificent Music Director, Mike Fowles.

The week of music making, learning and fun was organised and managed by Ivor Stevenson and his team from the Armagh Old Boys Silver Band.

The event, as always, concluded with a spectacular concert and prize giving event to an appreciative audience.

Third Carrickfergus Band was well represented on the week long course, some of which were awarded prizes at the concert.

The prize winners were;

Aoife Burgess – Best Junior Euphonium
Niamh Burgess – Best Senior Bass
Matthew Lam – Best Junior Cornet

Members who featured by playing solo parts in the concert were; Leah Forsythe, Aoife Burgess, Matthew Lam, David Doherty and Tom McGowan
