What a great turnout from the Third Carrick family at the annual BBNI Solo and Ensemble Competition yesterday at Wallace High School Lisburn. Excellent representation from both our Senior and Training Bands right across the different sections and super performances from all who entered. Some great results too given the quality and standard of all the sections with both Kelly and Claire just missing out on the podium places in the Slow Melody and A Solos, Cathy with a very creditable 3rd place in the B solos and our ensemble carrying off the top prize in the 18 and Under Section. Special mention to Sophie for winning both the 18 and Under and 19 and Under Solo sections (think we need a bigger display cabinet Mummy!). Just a word of thanks to all the teachers involved as they are the unsung heroes in these competitions.

Congratulations to all the competitors and of course to all the winners throughout the day in what was an extremely well supported and organised event in a new venue, which garnered lots of positive feedback from our competitors. Well done BBNI and the adjudicators on the day Christopher Bond and Les Neish.
